So here I am, sitting on Southwest Flight 1906 with service to Phoenix, Chicago, and Long Island. I'm still in disbelief that this is all actually happening. I've made it. I've dreamed about this day for years and it's finally here. Very surreal. I've stopped crying now and can't wait to land in my new home. It sounds so strange to think of Chicago as home, but it feels right as well.

When the plane boarded in Phoenix, the two people who sat next to me were awesome and the time really flew by! I was in the window seat and next to me was a man named “DC.” His real name was Constantine. He was 27 years old, about 6'5” and a performer. He was an ex mascot for the Oakland A's and the Wizards. He had some amazing stories and pictures to share so we had a blast talking. DC is also an artist and he showcased his fabulous music inspired work. He was on his way to Long Island to perform with a group who are touring currently and is also a cast member on Cho Cho Soul which plays every morning on PlayHouse Disney.

My other companion was a 66 year old woman named Pat who was originally from a Chicago suburb but had moved to Phoenix for retirement. She was also a blast to talk to because she had a wealth of stories. She was a nurse(and still is occasionally) but her real stories were about her children. Her daughter is a writer with a book coming out soon called “Where Souls Collide.” It sounded quite interesting. Her oldest son is a Marine and has traveled all over the globe. Her younger twin sons couldn't be more different. One is a psychologist and the other is a painter and body builder.

We talked about everything from politics to the national Airguitar Championship. We also viewed Ratatouille on DC's iPhone. Very fun trip and great people.

I arrived here in Chicago at about 3:45 and mad my way to the University Center. This building is amazing. The view is amazing. The apartment is wonderful! And without further ado, here is the video tour of the apartment.

I will post another video after my roomies have moved in and we are settled. Also look for some night photos.

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it. :bug:

P.S- I’m really sorry for the cut & paste message, but I have been so overwhelmed these past few days. I really wanted to thank each deviant who has supported my art, and this is the only way I’d have time to do that…so please forgive me:hug:
